REDWOOD CITY, CA — September 3, 2025 — LEMO Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to bridging the gap for youth athletes through sports and education, announced a new partnership with Squash on Track, a non-profit organization that empowers underserved students through the game of squash, academic support, and mentorship. This collaboration, made possible with grant support from Rock Creek Institute, will provide students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds with unprecedented access to coaching, equipment, and facilities to learn the sport of squash.
"Our mission at LEMO is to ensure that all young people have an opportunity to participate in sports, learning, and personal growth opportunities to unlock their full potential, regardless of their financial situation," said Ali Magner, Co-Founder of the LEMO Foundation. "This collaboration is a natural extension of that mission, and we are proud to work alongside two partners who share our commitment to equity and excellence.”
The partnership is built on a shared belief that participation in sports can be a powerful catalyst for personal growth and academic success. By combining their resources, the three organizations will introduce a new pathway for students to build confidence, resilience, and discipline—skills critical for success on and off the court.
"This groundbreaking partnership between Squash on Track and LEMO Foundation represents a transformative moment for Bay Area youth," said Richard Elliott, Executive Director of Squash on Track. "This collaboration furthers our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of underserved students through sports and academics, more than doubling the number of participants in our current program. Many more will now have new opportunities to gain athletic and life skills playing squash, while advancing their academic achievement through tutoring, mentorship, and college preparation. These students also become community champions, giving back through volunteer service that creates ripple effects of positive change. I'm grateful to David Levy, leader of Rock Creek Institute, and the visionary team at LEMO Foundation who share our belief that every young person deserves access to transformative opportunities."
"Rock Creek is honored to be a grant-making partner in this collaboration with LEMO Foundation and Squash on Track, dedicated to uplifting underserved youth in Redwood City," said David Levy, President of Rock Creek Institute and On The T Coach. "We believe that racquet sports like squash promote mindfulness, focus, and resilience. As a partner, we are excited to implement the 'On The T' philosophy, which teaches how to be relaxed yet fully prepared for positive impact on and off the court."
